私は子供の頃から強烈なイメージの夢を見た。家の燃える夢、ピストルで撃たれる夢、飛行機の落ちる幻。私は誰でも等しくそのような現実と違わぬような印象的な夢を睡眠中に見ているのだと思っていた。
夢の中で同じ場所に行くこともあり、同じ内容の夢を繰り返し見ることもあった。
私は親や周囲の人たちに、夜見る夢について質問したことがあったが、大抵「内容はあまり覚えていない」というような回答が多く、そこまで夢の内容に拘泥していない風なので、夢について百科事典や本で調べるしかなった。
子供向け百科事典などはあまり頼りになる内容は書かれておらず、「夢についてはあまりよく分かっていない」などと記されていることが多かった。
夢占いだとか夢診断などという類の軽そうな内容のものはあまりに無責任で断定的だと思ったので殆ど手を出さなかった。

I have dreamed of intense images since childhood. Dreams of burning houses, pistol shots, falling airplanes. I used to think that everyone had such impressive dreams in their sleep that were equally similar to reality.
Sometimes I would go to the same place in my dreams, and sometimes I would have the same dream over and over again.
I had asked my parents and other people around me about the dreams I had at night, but most of them answered that they did not remember much about the content of the dreams, and since they did not seem to be that concerned about the content of the dreams, I had to look them up in encyclopedias and books about dreams.
Encyclopedias for children were not very reliable and often stated that “we don’t know much about dreams.”
I rarely touched anything that seemed to be lightweight, such as dream fortune-telling or dream diagnosis, because I thought it was too irresponsible and judgmental.

Stable Diffusionを実際使ってみると、オンラインサービスでは出力を拒否される類の画像を無制限に生成することができた。
私はStable Diffusionを触っていく中で「これは『夢の涯てまでも』だ」と思った。『夢の涯てまでも』はヴィム・ヴェンダースによる1991年公開の映画だが、「夢」というものについて深く考えさせられる内容で、私は非常に感銘を受けた映画だった。
夢、といっても、睡眠中に見る夢の方で、将来は云々、の方ではない。

When I actually used Stable Diffusion, I was able to generate an unlimited number of images of the kind that online services refuse to output.
As I was working with Stable Diffusion, I thought to myself, “This is ‘Until the End of the World’” . ‘Until the End of the World’ is a 1991 film by Wim Wenders, and I was very impressed by its deeply thought-provoking content about “dreams”.

I am referring here to the dreams we have during sleep, not to the “what about the future?”

調べてみると、オンラインサービスの写真生成ＡＩテクノロジーにはStable Diffusion なるものが使用されているようだった。どうやらそれはオープンソースで、PCがあればローカルで誰でも使えるらしく、高速のビデオカードがあれば更に快適に画像を出力できるようだった。
となるとこれはもう試してみる他なく、私はちょうどビデオ編集用にNVIDIAの高速GPU（ビデオカード）搭載のPCを購入したばかりだったので、これ幸いとばかり、知ったその日にStable Diffusion をインストールし使い始めた。

自身のローカル環境での画像出力なので、検閲も、コミュニティとやらの目を意識する必要もなく、思う存分、自分の見てみたいイメージをこれでもかという程、呪文で呼び出すことができる。
Stable Diffusion は予め画像のモデルデータをダウンロードする必要があるのだが、有志作成によるそれらのデータが公開されているサイトには、これまた各人がStable Diffusionで呼び出した（召喚した）美少女や魔物、風景、ポルノ画像、アニメイラストなどが、食傷するほどにずらりと公開されている。
私はStable Diffusionのモデルデータをダウンロードしながら、それらのグロテスクでもあり、自由でもあり、卑猥で破廉恥、ホラーでもスプラッターでもある、各人がやりたい放題やっている画像を眺めた。どう見てもここはガイドライン的な公序良俗遵守という雰囲気とは無縁で、規制の閾値は緩いようだった。

Upon further investigation, I found that the photo generation AI technology used by the online service is called Stable Diffusion. Apparently, it is open source and can be used locally by anyone with a PC, and with a fast video card, it can output images even more comfortably.
I had just purchased a PC with an NVIDIA high-speed GPU (video card) for video editing, soI installed Stable Diffusion on the same day I found out about it and started using it.

Since I output images in my local environment, I don’t have to worry about censorship or the eyes of the community, and I can spell out as many images as I want to see.
Stable Diffusion requires downloading the model data of the images beforehand, but the site where these data are made public by volunteers contains a variety of beautiful girls, demons, landscapes, pornographic images, anime illustrations, etc., that have been summoned by users using Stable Diffusion, to the point that it is almost too much to eat.

As I downloaded the Stable Diffusion model data, I looked at these grotesque, free, obscene, shameful, horrific, and splatter images of people doing whatever they wanted to do. By all accounts, this was not a guideline-like atmosphere of compliance with public order and decency, and the threshold for regulation seemed to be loose.

　言葉で画像を作り出すことができる、というオンラインのデモ版に初めて触れたのは2020年頃だったと思う。それはイラスト・絵画が言葉で生成できるもので、写真ではなかった。
　生まれて初めて画像生成ＡＩに入力した語は、「雨の日、両親が喧嘩している家の子供、昼なのに暗い家」などという陰気なものだった気がする。
　私はどんな絵が出てくるのかとかなり期待して、出力時間の数秒を待った記憶がある。
　250ピクセル四方の小さい画像が３枚出力されたが、どれも期待したほどの物ではなかった。ドイツロマン派の油彩、といった大味な感じで、私が求めていた繊細そうな画風では全くなかった。
　その後、同じサイトで数枚、画像の出力を試したが、期待外れの連続なのですぐに使わなくなってしまった。

　その後、今年の2023年６月、今度は言葉で写真も生成できるというオンラインのサービスを知った。美しい水着女性がそれなりの速さで出力された。確かにサイズは小さく、どこかイラストっぽいが、以前のドイツロマン派風の油彩とは大違いだ。これは官能的だし、ポルノとしても通用する。私は色々と生成ワードを試したが、それはオンラインサービスだったので、私の希望する呪文（生成用プロンプト）は悉く「ガイドライン違反」として出力を拒否されてしまった。
「ヌード、血、女子高生、炎」などという言葉を多数使ったのがいけなかったのだろう。
　私はしかし、言葉での写真生成というものに強く惹かれた。

　I think it was around 2020 when I was first exposed to the online demo version of being able to create images with words. It was an illustration/painting that could generate words, not pictures.
　I think the first words I entered into the image-generating AI in my life were something gloomy like “rainy day, children at home with parents fighting, dark house even though it’s daytime”.
　I remember waiting a few seconds for the output time, quite excited to see what kind of picture would come out.
　Three small images of 250 pixels square were output, but none of them were as good as I had hoped. They looked like large German Romantic oil paintings, not at all like the delicate style I was looking for.
　After that, I tried to output a few more images from the same site, but soon stopped using it because of a series of disappointments.

　Then, last June 2023, I learned of an online service that could also generate pictures, this time with words. A beautiful swimsuit woman was output with reasonable speed. Sure, they are small in size and somewhat illustrative, but they are very different from the German Romantic-style oil paintings of the past. This is sensual and could pass for pornography. I tried various generated words, but since it was an online service, all of my desired spells (generating prompts) were rejected for output as “against guidelines.
I guess I shouldn’t have used so many words like “nude, blood, schoolgirl, flame, etc.”
I was, however, strongly attracted to the idea of generating photos with words.

遂にというかパソコンが不調になってしまったので、修理に出すことにした。

24時間、火を吹くような調子で酷使し続けたら、まあ、こうなるかなとは思う。

去年の6月にstable diffusionを知ってから、ほぼ毎日、取り憑かれたみたいに夢中でやってきたけど、ここで小休止するしかない。

思うところあったので、ちょうど良いかも。

stable diffusionでの新しいものはちょっと一休みだが、他のこともやる必要があって、手が付いてなかったので、それらをやることにしようと思ってます。

Finally, or rather, my computer started to malfunction and I decided to send it in for repair.

I guess that’s what happens when you abuse your computer like it’s on fire for 24 hours a day.

Since I learned about stable diffusion last June, I’ve been working on it almost everyday like I’m obsessed with it, but I have to take a pause here.

I’ve been thinking about AI image generation, so this might be a good time to take a break.

I’m taking a break from the new stuff in stable diffusion, but I need to work on other things that I haven’t gotten around to, so I’m going to do those.

I have a lot of images, so I’ll keep uploading them✌~.
